Competition Guidelines & Rules

No matter if you’re an experienced baker or just starting out, we can’t wait to see — and taste — what you whip up! Please take a moment to review the following guidelines to help keep the competition fair and enjoyable for everyone. Our baking competition is open to all ages!

  1. We kindly ask that all participants pre-register by July 17th, as spots may be limited. Additional entries will be accepted up to 30 minutes before the competition begins, space permitting.
  2. All entries must be submitted by 1 pm on the day of the competition (Saturday July 11th).
  3. Entries will be accepted at the shed across the lot from Erie Shore Snack and Social.
  4. Each participant may enter one item per category.
  5. Entries must be homemade – no store bought mixtures or pre-made components.
  6. All entries must be made with food safety in mind – refrigeration of dairy-based items before drop off, etc.
  7. Judging begins at 3:00pm and will be based on blind tasting.
  8. Winners will be announced at 4:00pm.

Additional Notes:
– Please label all entries with your name and category for judging. Labels will be removed or hidden before judging to ensure a blind tasting and fair evaluation.
– Please provide a recipe card including directions and an ingredient list for allergy awareness.
– All entries must have enough portions for 3 judges. Any remaining portions are yours to keep!
– Judge’s decisions are final
